Both lawyers and their clients should stay aware of the many Case Management Orders coming out of Chief Judge Herndon's court in the Southern District of Illinois. The court records for MDL-2385 Pradaxa (Dabigatran Etexilate) Products Liability Litigation indicate that the litigation is steaming forward at a steady pace, and that parties on both sides are actively involved in the discovery process at this point. The most recent Case Management Orders include the following:

10/29/2012 – (Order #15 cont.) – Order requires each plaintiff in action to complete the Plaintiff Fact Sheet.

11/13/2012 – (Order #16) – Establishment of a Common Benefit Fee and Expense Fund. This provides for fair and equitable sharing amongst plaintiffs, counsel, and allows for performance and expenses to be pursuant to the common benefit of all plaintiffs.

11/19/2012 – (Minute Order 67) – Amends Case Management Order 16 – Alters the fee submittal date from the above Order 16 from November 15, 2012 to December 15, 2012.

11/20/2012 – (Order #17) – Production Schedule for BIPI – sets forth the dates for appropriate filings of Paper, Electronic, TEMPO, VISTA, ARISg, IDEA, Oracle, BRAIN, SAS, and other response databases .

11/29/2012 – (Order #18) – Production Schedule for BII – sets forth dates for Objections to Plaintiff’s First Set of Interrogatories and Requests for Production to BII, Answers to Plaintiff’s Interrogatories, Custodians Identified, and Databases provided.
